A report by CenEA's researchers - Krzysztof Karbownik and Michał Myck, which has been published in the IZA Discussion Papers series and on CenEA's webpage demonstrates the important role of the gender of the first child on family structure and expenditure patterns in Poland.
The report entitled: "Mommies’ girls get dresses, daddies’ boys get toys. Gender preferences in Poland and their implications" can be downloaded from the IZA web page as IZA Discussion Paper nr 6232 or from CenEA's website as CenEA Working Paper nr 3/2011.
